Hannah Smith
LPC Associate UNder the supervision of Ametis Bassir, LPC-S
Hannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who specializes in helping clients manage anxiety in various forms. She works particularly well with three groups: individuals who feel overwhelmed and lost amidst life changes, are feeling stuck, or have relationship anxieties, couples experiencing relational stress, and anxious or fearful teens.
With individuals, especially those who cope with anxiety through maladaptive behaviors—such as struggling for control or lashing out emotionally, Hannah brings a calm, reassuring presence. She helps clients create inner peace and guides them in understanding their anxiety from the inside out. Through this process, she supports them in developing healthier ways of coping and moving toward a more balanced and happy life.In her work with couples, Hannah adopts a compassionate yet honest approach.
From the very first session, she helps partners create meaningful change, whether they’re dealing with conflict, navigating life transitions, or simply struggling to connect. Her focus is on fostering mutual understanding and growth, providing tools for couples to strengthen their relationship and communication, and move forward together.
For tweens and teens dealing with anxiety, Hannah provides a supportive environment where they can explore their thoughts and emotions. This looks like empowering tweens and teens to bring them into a place of confidence and insight about themselves. Hannah works closely with parents, helping them better understand their child and fostering a deeper, more empathetic connection within the family. By offering parents insights into their teen’s world, she encourages stronger relationships and healthier communication.
When I’m not seeing clients, I’m water coloring, weight lifting, roller blading, brunching, and spending time with family and friends. (I’m an Ennegram 2, too).
If you are feeling drawn to connect, let’s set up a consultation so you can ask me any questions you have. I would love to meet you and chat.
