Is This for You?
This intensive is designed for engaged or seriously dating couples with the intention of marriage, who are ready to take their relationship to the next level. If you’re deeply committed to one another and want to build a strong foundation for your future, this workshop is for you.
You’re both intentional about your relationship, and while you care deeply for each other, you might find yourselves stuck in patterns that seem unnecessary or repetitive. Maybe you’re over-thinkers, conscious of how your families of origin influence your dynamic, and want to avoid repeating those cycles. You know the importance of communication, and you’ve probably explored concepts like attachment theory—but something still feels off when it comes to fully understanding one another.
Why This Intensive?
We know that finding time for weekly therapy can be difficult. That’s why we’ve designed this weekend experience to help you achieve meaningful progress without the time commitment of ongoing sessions. In just two days, you’ll learn ways to experience relationship breakthrough, develop skills to communicate better, and find ways to strengthen your bond and set the stage for a healthy, fulfilling future.
Who is this not for?
This workshop isn’t ideal for couples who are experiencing significant crises, infidelity, or a recent betrayal. It’s meant for couples who are stable but seek deeper, lasting breakthroughs in communication and connection.
This intensive will help you:
Break Out of Unnecessary Struggles: Learn how to identify the root of the repetitive challenges you’re facing and understand why they happen. In this group setting, privacy of more intimate challenges are respected as we practice learning these methods and skills on less sensitive challenges, which prepares you to explore the more intimate challenges together in a more intimate setting.
Build Healthy Communication Skills: Discover how to express your needs and listen to your partner in ways that promote growth, understanding, and connection.
Avoid Negative Dynamics from the Past: Gain insight into how your family history influences your relationship, and learn how to chart your own course.
Deepen Your Emotional Bond: Reconnect with the love and trust you share by practicing vulnerability and creating lasting intimacy.
We’ll explore attachment theory and its role in your relationship, offering tools like the “Hold Me Tight” conversation to help you feel secure and understood. You’ll also learn Gottman-based techniques to navigate conflicts effectively, and we’ll practice conflict resolution through interactive exercises.
